The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi came alive from Saturday night into Sunday dawn as thousands of students gathered at the Royal Parade Ground to climax the 2025 Students’ Week celebrations.
Ghanaian rapper Kweku Smoke ignited the night with an explosive performance, sporting a striking red-and-white Nike sweater and crisp white sneakers. He electrified the crowd with high-energy renditions of his hits, including “Jah Guide” and “Chairman,” instantly setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.
Next to grace the stage were Okese1 and Beeztrap KOTM, who teamed up for a dynamic set that sustained the crowd’s enthusiasm.
Beyond the headliners, the event also offered a platform for emerging underground artistes, giving them a chance to showcase their talents before a live audience.
Several dance groups brought added flair, drawing cheers and spontaneous dance-offs across the field.
For many students, the event marked a long-awaited return to large-scale campus festivities.
“This is the kind of vibe we’ve missed on campus. It’s refreshing to be part of it again,” said one final-year attendee.
With a vibrant DJ setup, a visible security presence, and a variety of food and merchandise vendors, the atmosphere struck a seamless balance between thrill and safety.
