The Managing Director of Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL), Mr. Ato Afful has indicated GCGL’s commitment to publish research findings and ideas from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) that contribute to the development of the country. He made this known when he paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rita Akosua Dickson at the Council Chamber on 28th October, 2020.
He further entreated the University to bring its intellectual ideas on board to help in the strategic planning of the nation. He appreciated the institution for the successful collaboration that has existed for decades and hoped for more future business relations.
Mr. Ato Afful on behalf of GCGL congratulated Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson on her appointment as the first female Vice-Chancellor of the institution. According to him, her appointment will inspire young females who aspire to occupy high positions in the society.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rita Akosua Dickson mentioned that KNUST, as a leading Science and Technology institution for the past 69 years seeks to advance knowledge in Science and Technology through relevant research, effective teaching and learning, entrepreneurship and community engagements.
She was of the view that the research works of the institution is meaningless, if it remains on the shelves. She therefore indicated her full support of GCGL’s offer to make the research known by all to impact lives of the society. She finally promised the University’s commitment to nurture and enjoy the mutual relationship between the two leading institutions.
