The College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) has organized a sod cutting ceremony to mark the beginning of the construction of a lecture theatre complex.
In a briefing, the Provost of CAP, Prof. S.O. Asiama, explained to the gathering the need for building another lecture auditorium to add to the existing ones. He said, building a new lecture theatre will help ease the congestion of students in the existing ones. He congratulated the Vice - Chancellor, Prof. Kwasi Kwafo Adarkwa for his contribution to the success of the College by initiating the building of a new lecture theatre.
On his part, the Vice - Chancellor emphasized that, he will continue to ensure that funds from the GETFund are used to fuel the project to its completion. He assured the College that, they will continue to receive support from the University administration.
The consultants overseeing the building project are , Project Architect - Dr. Victor Kootin - Sanwu, Structural Engineer - Dr. Mark Adom Asamoah, Services Engineer - Dr. Kpodo V. A. and Quantity Surveyor - Rev. Dr. F.D.K. Fugar.
