The Selection Committee of the Special Excellence Awards Scheme has paid a courtesy call on the Mamponghene, Daasebre Nana Osei Bonsu II, to officially inform him about the Special Excellence Awards initiative and seek his acceptance to enable the university to proceed with the scheme.

Speaking on behalf of the committee, Mr. Anthony Adjapong, Deputy Registrar of the College of Art and Built Environment (CABE), noted that the visit followed an earlier letter sent to the Mamponghene.
The Registrar, Mr. Andrews Kwasi Boateng, as part of his vision to motivate staff for creativity and dedicated service to the university, has established the Special Excellence Awards Scheme for the Staff of the Registrar’s Offices.
The awards are in honour of Daasebre Nana Osei Bonsu II (Leadership) and two other past Registrars: the Sophia Quashie-Sam Award for Service and the Kobby Yebo-Okrah Award for Creativity and Innovation.
The maiden edition of the awards is scheduled to be held on 13th June 2025.
In response, Daasebre Nana Osei Bonsu II commended the Registrar, Mr. Andrews Kwasi Boateng, for his innovative leadership and contributions to the university’s management and administrative structure.
He expressed his full support for the scheme and pledged to provide any necessary assistance to ensure its success.
Also present at the meeting were the Chairman of the Selection Committee of the Award Scheme, former Deputy Registrar, Mr. Solomon Panford; Mr. Emmanuel Kwasi Debrah, Assistant Registrar; Mr. Gibridu Oppong, Junior Assistant Registrar; and Mr. Isaac Nyamekye Yamoah, Junior Assistant Registrar.
