Prof. Kofi Akohene Mensah has been elected Vice Dean of the School of Public Health at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST), following a run-off election held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

According to the official declaration of results issued by the College of Health Sciences Electoral Committee, Prof. Mensah secured 18 of the 30 valid votes cast, representing 60% of the total votes.

The results were announced by the School Secretary and Returning Officer, Mrs. Ernestina Quarshie.

In accordance with the University's Statutes, his appointment is subject to approval by the University Council on the recommendation of the Academic Board.
