The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has hosted a sendoff party for pensioners of the Provident Fund, honoring their contributions and dedication in service.
The event brought together Pensioners from across the university community not to only celebrate their contributions but also serve as a platform for sharing insights on financial management and investment strategies, reflecting the Provident Fund's commitment to the well-being of its members beyond their active service years.
Mr. David Mensah Bonsu, former Finance Officer and current Board Chair of the Provident Fund, urged pensioners against investing in high risk businesses, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing security and sustainability over potentially lucrative returns.
He stated treasury bills as an example of low risk investments with relatively stable returns.
Dr. Felix Obeng Boateng, Schedule Officer and Finance Officer Representative and Mr. Amoako, Administrator of the Provident Fund also reinforced the need for good investment for financial stability.
