The Executive body of the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG) of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has procured a brand-new Toyota Coaster 33-seater bus at the cost of GH₵459,000 from its Internally Generated Fund (IGF).
Unveiling the bus at a short ceremony, the President of GRASAG, Mr. Maxwell Essan Mensah, explained that the students have over the years, been hiring buses at high costs for their activities. GRASAG’s previous administration led by Mr. Eugene Paha therefore decided to acquire a bus to serve Graduate students and the University. He promised on behalf of the student body to keep the bus in good shape and utilize it for its intended purpose.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso, who commissioned the bus said leaders who commit to solving the problems, is the best. He, therefore, on behalf of the management, commended the executive body for promoting such good cause.
The Protestant Chaplain, Rev. Dr. J.W. Acheampong, dedicated the bus.
