The Provost of the KNUST College of Health Sciences, Prof. Christian Agyare, has called on the 2025 graduating class to let humility, empathy and integrity guide their professional practice as they enter the health sector.
Speaking at the University’s 59th Congregation ceremony, Prof. Agyare said the graduands’ academic achievement should not be viewed only as a milestone but as a responsibility to serve society.
“Your qualification is not merely an academic achievement, but a call to serve humanity,” he told the audience.
Agyare said the training the students received has equipped them with critical thinking, innovation and problem-solving skills needed for leadership in Ghana’s healthcare system.
He encouraged them to join the KNUST Alumni Association to access mentorship, networking and opportunities to support the University.
A total of 1,711 undergraduate students are graduating from the College of Health Sciences this year, comprising 763 males (44.6%) and 948 females (55.4%).
