The Academic Affairs Division of the Registrar’s Offices at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi has held a send-off and recognition event for staff who have been transferred or promoted during the year.
The ceremony, held at the Senior Staff Club, brought together staff from the Division’s constituent units, including the Admissions and Examinations Offices.
Deputy Registrar of the Academic Affairs Division, Lucy Diawuo, commended staff for their contributions to the University’s growth.
She said the Division remains one of the pivotal units of the institution and noted that its operations have continued to improve due to the initiative and collective efforts of staff, without compromising on quality.
The event was organised to celebrate staff achievements, motivate those who have been transferred to other sections of the University, recognise those promoted or who have upgraded their qualifications, and welcome new senior members reassigned to the Division.
The outgoing Senior Assistant Registrar of the Examinations Office praised senior members and all categories of staff for their support.
He commended staff under his supervision, including national service personnel, for upholding integrity and maintaining high standards in certification and verification processes. He appealed to the incoming officer to help facilitate the creation of a befitting waiting area for guests.
The outgoing Deputy Registrar at the Admissions Office, Charles Asamoah Boateng, thanked staff for their cooperation.
He noted that the Admissions Office is one of the busiest sections of the University and expressed hope that the team would extend their full cooperation to the incoming officer.
Staff of the Admissions Office presented a citation in honour of Mr Asamoah Boateng.
