Senior Members of the College of Science meet with International Students in the College

The Senior Members of the College of Science, on Friday 11th February 2011, met with the International students within the College. The intent of the programme was to address issues of concern to the students. In attendance were the Provost of the College of Science, Prof. R. K. Nkum, some Senior Members in the college and some executives of the students' representative body (SCISA).

Among the issues discussed were rules and regulations regarding examinations in the University. The College Examinations Officer, Mr. Asare Donkor, in his address urged the students to adequately prepare for examinations in order to avoid examination malpractices and consequent drastic disciplinary actions. He urged the students to be time conscious and to acquaint themselves with examination venues to avoid reporting late for exams.

The Senior Members encouraged the students to form study groups with their Ghanaian counterparts to enhance idea sharing and their academic and social lives on campus. They entreated the students to balance their academic lives with their social lives.

The Provost of the College culminated the whole programme by urging the students to aspire for greater heights in all endeavours of their lives. He further implored the students, in his closing remarks, to always channel their grievances to the appropriate offices and also assured them of his commitment to taking immediate action on issues concerning them as students.
