Embedded Systems Training
mFriday in conjunction with Kumasi Center for Lifelong Learning is organising a practical, hands-on training on embedded systems (a computer system designed for specific control functions within a larger system, it is embedded as part of a complete device often including hardware and mechanical parts, eg. cell phones, mp3 players, temperature control systems).
The training instructors are from First Atlantic Semiconductor and Microelectronics FASMICRO of Nigeria with partners in the United States such as ALTERA. The modules will include:
Embedded Systems - FPGA
Embedded Systems - Microcontroller
Mobile Apps Development on these platforms
Mixed Signal VLSI Design with CAD (special arrangement via Europractice)
With the proliferation of smartphones in Africa, it has opened up opportunities such as home automation, vehicle automation, etc. People are remotely controlling their homes on their phones, tablets, etc. This training is to offer you the necessary skills required to develop such systems.
The training is from 24th - 30th August 2012 and the venue is KNUST. The cost is GHC150.
